Daily Challenges–Part 1

So here I am again and I know it has been almost 2 weeks since my last post – and considering that this is my 2nd post you can guess I am still working on the consistency here

I need to write a few things down, because I have been challenged in many ways. I follow a few pastors on twitter for some nice daily inspiration and keep a bible on my iPhone in my pocket in case I need to remember and highlight a few things. Some challenges that I have been presented with over the last few weeks are:

1) "Whatever things are of good report...meditate on these things." Phil.4:8

2) Adversity introduces a man to himself

3) want my Fruits of the Spirit to exceed my Gifts of the Spirit!

4) Don't ever trade your pursuit of Christ for the pursuit of knowledge about Christ...” wow!

5) Our hunger for God never goes beyond our humility, as humility recognizes personal need.

Also I have started reading Galatians and more then reading it like I have always done, I am now studying it. The bible maybe a compact little book from everything you might expect from it, but once you really start using cross-references, prayer and look deeper into it – God can tell you a lot about who and what He is.

For example looking at the 3rd challenge.
God gives us Gifts, maybe not always the PlayStation or Xbox you desire, but more gifts that you can use to glorify him. Talents, like playing music, being good in business, being a painter – things that can be used to Glorify Him. It is then a challenge for us to have the seeds we plant by using these gifts to gain more people to work for God rather than themselves. So imagine if God where to give us a seed of some kind it is our job to tend that into a beautiful fruitful tree so that they in return can produce more seeds and fruit.

There is a lot more to it, so as I figure things out I will write about them.

Hi and welcome to Day2Day a blog where I want to write some thoughts of what I hear listening to different podcasts and DVD’s I watch.
You may think why it is called Day2Day and it is, because the media I mainly watch are different sermon’s from a few churches and DVD’s that have relevant day 2 day content in them.

I learn a lot from them and take notes and stuff, but I want to add another dimension to them and that is the interaction of other people’s comments and thoughts. I am by no means a theologian or a business guru and my spelling is as good as my spell-check allows it to be, so none of this will be perfect and is open for discussion.

I welcome you into my experiences and if you learn something from them then that is a blessing to us both.
